Mr. Feenzstra,
I have tried without success to get a problem solved with my AVG installation…There seems to be no technical support, just an auto response directing me to the FAQ Section, which does not answer my specific question. Please read the following e-mail sent out 7 times now, receiving the same auto response directing me to FAQ Section…Please answer my question or direct me to someone who will give me an answer for this issue, not an auto response…Mindy
I REPEAT – INFO NOT FOUND IN FAQ SECTION- I NEED TRUE TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THIS PROBLEM…SOMEONE NEEDS TO READ AND HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM…

Subject: Please Help – Failed Installation
Your “FAQ” does not reference information about what the installation process would be if the free edition programs were removed from the computer.
I am attempting to re-install my AVG 8.0 paid version of the security software. During the original installation and setup, I encountered a problem with not being able to access the Internet for several days, while AVG was attempting Confirmation to establish the various TCP connections with remote IP addresses. I thought it was a problem with AVG and requested a refund and removed all of the AVG programs from my computer (including the original free version & updates).
After contacting MSN Technical Support, I discovered that there was an error message Ras633: my modem was being remotely accessed by a Rastapi.DLL… MSN identified that a recent update by ZoneAlarm was blocking my access to the Internet. So I have removed ZoneAlarm from my computer and have attempted to re-install AVG 8.0. During Set up the AVG program asked me to update Roxio CD DVD, so I uninstalled Nero CD, because there was no program named Roxio on my computer. But after downloading and installation attempt, it did not install and displayed the message below:
AVG 8.0 build 156 (7/25/2008)
Local machine file installation failed
Error: Action failed for file avgfwfd.inf: file registration…
AVG Firewall NDIS driver installation failed
AVG text message exception
Please help me to get my AVG to operate properly. I do not want to cancel or request refund, just to get the software functioning on my computer…Your “FAQ” does not reference information about what the installation process would be if the free edition programs were removed from the computer.
