OS/2 – who said this?

Clearing out the loft, I found an old book from 1988. History is amazing, I found this page to be a very interesting read; it’s astonishing how things have panned out since then.

  1. “O/S 2 is destined to be the most important operating system” – Well, if you remember a lot of the O/S 2 code base was used in the construction of Windows NT, which was the foundation to modern operating systems such as Windows Server 2003 and Vista. So, although O/S 2 itself didn’t survive, it still had a big impact on the operating systems that we use today.

  2. I vote for Bill Gates too – another comment along the lines of his book stating that the Internet would never amount to very much…
